Last updated 18 October 2026. This Terms & Conditions applies to singaporetranslator.com and to every order placed with Singapore Translators.
The short version
- Quotes are free and fixed — the price we quote is the price you pay.
- You pay after you approve the quote and before the certified file is released.
- Turnaround starts when you approve the quote, not when you first send the document.
- If a submission is rejected because of our error, we re-translate and re-certify free.
- Acceptance of your application is always the authority's decision, not ours.
About these terms
These terms apply to your use of singaporetranslator.com and to every order placed with Singapore Translators (“we”, “us”, “our”), a Singapore-registered language services company. By requesting a quote or placing an order you agree to them. If you are ordering for a company, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
Quotes and prices
- Quotes are free. Send a clear photo or scan of every page and tell us where the document is going; we reply with a fixed price and delivery date, usually within 15 minutes during business hours.
- Prices start from SGD 40 per page for civil documents, SGD 45 for business, financial and medical documents and SGD 50 for legal and court documents. A page is one side of a standard A4 document.
- Certification, the company stamp, the translator's signed declaration, a certified PDF and courier within Singapore are included in the quoted price.
- Same-day delivery adds SGD 20 per document, subject to translator availability, confirmed before you pay.
- Notarisation and legalisation are separate steps; statutory fees are passed on at cost and shown in the quote.
- A quote is based on the pages you sent. If more pages or documents arrive later, we will quote the difference before doing the work.
Payment
Payment is made after you approve the quote and before the certified file is released. We accept PayNow, bank transfer and major credit cards. Corporate accounts with monthly invoicing are settled on the terms agreed in writing.
Turnaround and delivery
- Standard turnaround is 24 hours for most single civil documents and 24–48 hours for longer or specialist documents. The delivery date in your quote is the one we commit to.
- The clock starts when you approve the quote. Documents received after 6 PM, on a Sunday or on a public holiday start the next working morning; notary and courier steps also pause on those days.
- The certified PDF is sent by email. Printed, stamped copies are couriered free anywhere in Singapore (usually adding one working day) or held at our Suntec office for collection. Overseas courier is charged at the carrier's cost.
- Extra printed sets cost SGD 10 each while we still hold the file.
Your responsibilities
- Send complete, legible copies of every page, including the back of a document where anything is printed or stamped on it.
- Spell names, dates and places exactly as you need them to appear, and tell us which authority the translation is for.
- Check the receiving authority's requirements (for example whether certification is enough or notarisation is needed). We are glad to advise, free.
- Only send documents you are entitled to share with us.
Our re-translation guarantee
If a submission is rejected because of an error on our side, we re-translate and re-certify free of charge and move the job to the front of the queue. Please tell us within 30 days of delivery and send us the rejection notice or the authority's comments.
We guarantee the translation, not the wider application. Rejections caused by the underlying document — an expired certificate, a missing annex, an issue with the application itself — sit outside what any translation can fix. We will flag that risk when quoting if we spot it.
Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel at any time before the translation is delivered. What happens to your payment is set out in our Refund Policy.
Confidentiality and your data
Every job is handled only by the assigned translator, the reviewing linguist and your coordinator, all under signed confidentiality undertakings. An NDA is available on request. Files are deleted 30 days after delivery unless you ask us to keep them. See our Privacy Policy.
Our liability
We take great care over every translation. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as missed appointments, travel costs or delays in an application. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Singapore law.
Using this website
The content of this website, including the guides on our blog, is general information and not legal advice — see our Disclaimer. The website design, text and graphics belong to Singapore Translators and may not be copied without permission.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the Singapore courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force when you approve a quote applies to that order.
