Last updated 18 October 2026. This Refund Policy applies to singaporetranslator.com and to every order placed with Singapore Translators.

The short version

  • Quotes are free — you pay nothing until you approve the quote.
  • Cancel before work starts and you get a full refund.
  • Cancel while translation is in progress and you pay only for the work already done.
  • Found an error in our translation? We correct and re-certify it free.
  • Refunds go back to the original payment method within 7–10 working days.

How refunds work

Because payment is taken after you approve a fixed quote, most orders never need a refund. When one is due, this table shows what you get back:

Refunds at each stage of an order

Cancelling an order

To cancel, message us on WhatsApp or email info@singaporetranslator.com with your name and order details. The time your message reaches us decides which stage applies. During office hours we confirm the cancellation and the refund amount straight away.

If there is an error in the translation

If you find a mistake in our translation — a misspelt name, a wrong date, an omitted stamp — tell us within 30 days of delivery. We correct it and re-issue the certified translation free of charge, including new printed copies.

If a submission is rejected because of an error on our side, we re-translate and re-certify free and move it to the front of the queue. This is our remedy in place of a refund for delivered work.

Not covered as an error. Changes requested after delivery that are not errors — for example a different spelling of a name than on the original document, or a translation needed for a different authority — are quoted as new work.

If we miss the delivery date

The delivery date in your quote is a commitment. If we miss it for reasons within our control, the same-day or urgent surcharge (if you paid one) is refunded in full. Delays caused by public holidays, notary or courier closures, or waiting for information from you are not counted.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the original payment method — PayNow, bank transfer or card — within 7–10 working days of the cancellation being confirmed. Card refunds may take a few extra days to appear, depending on your bank.

Corporate accounts

For corporate accounts on monthly invoicing, cancelled or reduced work is credited on the next invoice unless your agreement says otherwise.
